Parrot's ability to talk or mimic is related to their gregarious nature. Parrots have a long life span and are very social. Various Breeds

Macaws
Choosing a Macaw is a big challenge. With so many beautifully colored birds vying for attention it can be difficult to decide. Talking with owners of Macaws might prove to be very helpful. Each person is likely to try to convince you of his or her own Macaws esteemed merits. The final decision should be based on your lifestyle, the bird's health, and its availability. Cost is always a consideration but realize that if the bird has been raised by the breeder and comes with a health check from an avian veterinarian, the cost will be slightly higher.

Blue and Gold Macaw
Blue and Gold Macaws are playful and fun loving birds. Perhaps the most commonly available large Macaw, their personality is ideal and they usually adapt easily to new surroundings. As with all the large Macaws, they are highly sociable and quickly become members of the family.

Scarlet Macaw
Nature created a spectacular combination of color in this bird. They are in the top ten of the world's most beautiful parrots. They prefer the love of the immediate family to that of large crowds. If introduced to the public at a young age, they can become real show-offs. These parrots are particularly sensitive to mistreatment of any type.

Hyacinth Macaw
This is the largest of the parrot family with nearly a four-foot length and a wingspan that frequently exceeds four feet in width. This bird is a specialized feeder and in captivity they have been successfully fed on a diet of macadamia, Brazil, filbert, walnut, almond, pecan, peanuts and coconuts. Supplemental food such as Zupreem biscuits, fruits and vegetables are also offered. They require a diet high in fat and carbohydrates and low in protein. Because of their specialized feeding habits, as well as their need for large cages to properly house them, the decision to obtain one should be well thought out.
